The site is also protected by the owners entering into a conservation covenant with the 'trust for nature'. Registered with the department of conservation and natural resources, land for wildlife supports voluntary conservation. The site is a registered 'land for wildlife' property which provides natural habitat for a large variety of flora and fauna. Visitors to halls gap in the grampians national park are invited to stay at grampians wonderland cabins in one of six self-contained holiday cottages on 24 acres of natural bushland.
